9 months waiting...

It's crazy knowing that after 9 months of waiting and wondering we are officially going to meet our baby girl in only 24 hours time. The day seemed like it would never come! She has a great story and the 9 months has been worth every second! The responsibility is weighing and nerve racking, but the excitement is exhilarating!

Hope you had a heart filled Valentines
we sure did...
 Can't wait for tomorrow!

To be continued...

Here's to 2011...

I know it's been a year, but this is just to get started...

Ahhhhhh.... I've been waiting for you!

yes, 2010 I have been waiting for you!
So glad you made it!

I'm not going to lie, 2009 was a hard, hard year. Like my friend Jess I am glad 2009 is over. I can look forward to a new year, and only go up from here. I know I haven't been updating my blog and that is why, i've written dozens of posts, but just haven't been feeling it. I read others and am always inspired, but never feel like I have much to offer, like I said, I just haven't been feeling it. And that is ok! I plan to be better, that's all I can do! Be better, at alot of things! So here's to 2010, and to being well, better, at alot of things...right? Here are a few things that are helping me with my resolution of being better. (for lack of better words, pun intended :) family, that's a greg andrew for ya, ha ha!)

"The Best is yet to Be..."

Already in 2010 I've been inspired, here's why . I found this great blog post here, (thanks Erica!) and it definitely caught my eye. You need to read the article, it is just amazing. So perfect. So what I needed to help my new year start. It's going to be an amazing year and I am excited for it! Even since I have started writing this post (2 days ago) my new found inspiration has been put to the test. I imagined my new year to start perfectly without any bumps, i've been quickly reminded this is not how it works, and that is okay!As it says in the article, "Faith is for the future. Faith builds on the past but never longs to stay there. Faith trusts that God has great things in store for each of us and that Christ truly is the “high priest of good things to come” I know, amazing isn't it! Well I am putting it to the test! Faith without works is dead, right? Well, I am going to be try, and be better, and unlike Lot's wife, I'm so not looking back! I know I won't be perfect, and I'll need to be reminded regularly, but if there's a will there's a way.

To finish off I've found my motto, I would love this below (found here) to hang in my office and remind me everyday!

Join me in the crusade! Ha Ha
Thanks for letting me preach for a minute :)
Hopefully being better applies to my blog too! Stay tuned!

Hope you are all having a great New 2010!

Superstitious.....?

I was driving by my parents and literally was stopped in the middle of the road by this. I thought it was cool and at the same time sooo creepy so I snapped this pic. "Am I superstitious?" I thought as the black cat stared me in the eye.... I don't know but it definitely made me think about it! Funny cause I was just thinking today about all the road blocks and bad luck I've been having. GREAT.

... What do you do if you are cursed?

I looked up some Halloween superstitions and guess what was first on the list!

Superstitions & Bad Luck Omens

  • Black Cats

Black cats have long been believed to be a supernatural omen since the witch hunts of the middle ages when cats were thought to be connected to evil. Since then, it is considered bad luck if a black cat crosses your path.

  • Broken Mirrors

An ancient myth our ancestors believed was that the image in a mirror is our actual soul. A broken mirror represented the soul being astray from your body. To break the spell of misfortune, you must wait seven hours (one for each year of bad luck) before picking up the broken pieces, and bury them outside in the moonlight.

  • Ladders

In the days before the gallows, criminals were hung from the top rung of a ladder and their spirits were believed to linger underneath. Common folklore has it to be bad luck to walk beneath an open ladder and pass through the triangle of evil ghosts and spirits.

  • Owls

If an owl looks in your window or if you seeing one in the daylight bad luck and death will bestow you.

  • Salt

At one time salt was a rare commodity and thought to have magical powers. It was unfortunate to spill salt and said to foretell family disarray and death. To ward off bad luck, throw a pinch over your shoulder and all will be well.

  • Sparrows

Sparrows are thought to carry the souls of the dead and it is believed to bring bad luck if you kill one.

  • Unlucky Number #13

The fear of the number 13 is still common today, and avoided in many different ways. Some buildings still do not have an official 13th floor and many people avoid driving or going anywhere on Friday the 13th.

Let's get me some salt and hope I can stay away from mirrors and ladders now!

Happy Halloween!

Shunned....

Sorry to all those who have felt shunned from our blog recently. That sweet husband of mine was playing around on the blog, and decided to make our status private. People kept telling me all week that my blog was private and since I have been so bad at even checking my blog, let alone updating or changing anything I figured there was no way. Well, I guess I should never underestimate the husband. So now you are all 'unshunned' so no worries. Preston was just being protective, and has joined the "my blog should be private" stance. I, however am not convinced yet. Maybe when we can pr..

(I Preston am now taking over the post) All of you blog stalkers leave my wife alone! No more peaking in our windows at night wondering if "Addie the Puggle" will make another appearance! Kids, are still something we are practicing so there that is. Also, we love our jobs and life is good. I plan on blocking this later. Good luck finding us online, j/k just google Ledah Andrew, she is famous... back to Ledah....

?? wow.. Not sure what else to say. That pretty much explains it.

Ledah signing out...

Yay for Birthday Weeks!

Last week was so fun, being my birthday week and all. :) Yes, the big 26! Can't believe I'm nearly late twenties! Where does the time go! Anyways, I really had a fun and crazy week! My birthday was Wednesday so Preston planned a date night for the two of us at a really fancy restaurant.

It was called Franc's and let me tell you what, it was AMAZING!! It's a really cute, quaint little place, and the food is sooo great! It's fine dining, they have two chef's, and they have a plasma in the main seating area where you can watch them prepare your food. It really was sooooo good! As you can see I had to take a pic of our meals cause they were prepared so delicately, and were seriously so yummy! Preston got this fried chicken with a Root Beer glaze, (I know Root Beer glaze? Sounds crazy) And it was amazing! I got a pork tenderloin or something and it was just as good! We got two desserts, one a White Chocolate wrapped carrot cake, & a Lemon Trio. Really the best carrot cake ever! mmnn!
After we went to my parents and my mom and sisters gave me the most beautiful flowers ever, and they even made the arrangement themselves!

Friday some of my bestest girls took me to lunch at Zupas! (my favorite!) It is my favorite tradition that the girls go to lunch, so thanks girlies! And for those who didn't make it we missed you! Love you guys!

Dru was celebrating the 4th of July really early :) She's so patriotic!

Friday night we planned a date night up in Park City for my birthday. Preston got us a "sweet" place to stay the night with a bunch of friends. It was a little shocking when we got there, but needless to say we made the best of it! A few energy drinks later... :)
It really was so much fun though, and I am so glad everyone came!

Saturday we had a work get together which was so great to chill with good food, and new friends! Thanks Teryn & Shane for hosting! This is everyone looking dead sexy! I am so excited to hang out more!

Sunday, Preston's family had cake & ice cream and they gave me the best gifts ever! My prized posession is now this...

Yup! Autographed himself! Preston's brother hung out with him and tried to get him to call me and sing me happy birthday. Being that he is so shy this is what they were able to get out of him! So great! What an awesome guy! :)

Thanks everyone for such a fun week!
Especially you my love, you did a great job, and I really couldn't have made it through last week without you!

A new journey....

Another cause to the madness for us lately is about two weeks ago on May 9th, Preston's dad got remarried to Julie Foust. We are so excited and happy for them! It was a really great celebration, but kept us very busy because they left all of the wedding planning in our hands! Yup everything! Colors, food, florals, etc. With alot of help from so many people, Auntie Carol & I put it all together! We did all the planning in about 3 weeks, and it really turned into a success! If you know me, you know I love weddings, yes it's on my list to be a wedding planner. So I really had fun! They did the reception the night before at Greg's ward, and we did our best to transform the place! Thank you everyone (Mom too!) for your help, it really turned out great!

The Happy Couple!

(Greg & Julie both served missions seperately in Italy, which is a fun thing to have in common so we did an Italian theme kind of like a little Italian patio somewhere.)
(Lindsay stealing the gifts :) )
The Gelato was a hit! It was soooo yummy!

They got sealed the next day at the Jordan River Temple, and it was such an amazing & special experience for us. We love Julie's family & kids and feel lucky to be combining families.

Last night we went to their 2nd reception held up in Logan. After the reception we went to Julie's house where they will be living, and helped them open all their wedding gifts. Julie has the cutest little cottage house that will be perfect for them, & we are excited to come up there and visit often!
The Crazy Bunch!
Congratulations you guys, we love you!
